OPTION #2

French Braid Quilt Camp Adventure

The French Braid quilt is a vibrant, confident quiltmaker’s project — perfect for anyone who loves bold color movement and satisfying, rhythmic sewing. Built from simple fabric strips, the French Braid creates a woven, dimensional look that resembles the classic braid pattern, adding beautiful texture and flow to your quilt.
The braids themselves are easy and go together quickly. You’ll cut your fabrics into strips, then sew them in a sequence that creates the braided effect — approachable for beginners and fun for experienced quilters who enjoy color play. There is a bit of work in sewing all the strips together, but the end result is absolutely fabulous: a quilt with movement, depth, and a striking visual impact.
One of the best parts? French Braid quilts are incredibly versatile. You can make:
  • King or Queen sizes, or smaller versions
  • Braids with separator strips or without
  • Braids with little accent squares for extra design interest — or keep it clean and simple
This project invites creativity, personalization, and joyful experimentation. Whether you love controlled color gradients or wild scrappy braids, the French Braid quilt adapts beautifully to your style.
OPTION #3
Giant Dahlia Quilt $235

Giant Dahlia Quilt Camp Adventure
Ready for a project that bursts with color, creativity, and pure quilting joy? The Giant Dahlia is a classic medallion-style quilt built from repeating geometric shapes--diamonds, triangles, arcs, and curved segments—that radiate outward to form the iconic blooming dahlia.  But this Quilt Camp adventure comes with a twist: Most Giant Dahlia quilts rely on templates and curved piecing… but not this one.
Jackie designed a paper‑foundation version of the Giant Dahlia that keeps all the drama of the traditional pattern while making the construction surprisingly approachable. Instead of wrestling with dozens of curved templates, you’ll enjoy the accuracy and ease of foundation piecing—perfect for achieving those crisp points and smooth arcs without the stress.
This quilt is a joyful leap into color planning, symmetry, and bold design, and with Jackie’s pattern, it’s truly not difficult—just delightfully immersive.  As you can see by the pictures above, the outer borders of the Giant Dahlia give you room to really personalize your quilt!

🧩 Your Creative Journey
Start by selecting 7 beautiful colors of your favorite fabrics. They fabric is cut into rectangles and paper pieced -- a very SIMPLE paper piece - almost more like a flip and sew - if you never tried paper piecing or think you don't like paper piecing, this project might just change your mind! You’ll stretch your skills, trust your instincts, and embrace a few surprises along the way. I know any of my camp friends can make this quilt successfully!  Be brave and try it!

Who’s This For?
Perfect for quilters who like a little mystery and a lot of personality in their work. Ideal for camp: bring your sense of adventure, let go of perfection, and celebrate every unexpected twist.
