ABOUT QUILT CAMP
This year there is a choice of ONE quilt class, The Giant Dahlia quilt or you are welcome to work on your own project The Giant Dahlia quilt will be offered in a variety of sizes to meet your needs and quilting skill level.
Careful, step-by-step instruction is given in a fun learning environment. You will learn techniques that will improve your quilting skills and Jackie will always be available to assist you.
Quilting Camp Registration Fees
$25 * Work on your Own Project
$45 * Giant Dahlia Class
Registration fee includes facility rental, quilt camp welcome packet mailed to you upon registration, quilt pattern / book, instructional classes on how to make your selected quilt at camp, and all activities at quilting camp. There is no lodging available as we are using a Church Fellowship Hall, but the area has a lot of nice lodging facilities if you require that. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation of receipt of your form within 24 hours or less. About Marchj 15, 2020 a Camp Welcome Packet will be mailed to you with everything you need to know about camp, what to bring, and fabric requirements for your select quilt project, etc. You will be responsible to purchase your fabric, rulers or other quilting supplies required for your particular quilt chosen for quilt camp..
Plan to arrive at Quilt Camp on Friday at TBA to begin setting up your work area. Lessons will be given throughout the day for each quilt type to assist you in the construction of your chosen project from start to finish. The hours of the quilting camp will be:
Friday tba to 11 pm (or leave when you are ready)
Saturday 8 am to 11 pm (or leave when you are ready)
If you need to arrive / depart at slightly different times,than the camp hours, please feel free to do so. The first class schedule will be posted in your Welcome Packet so that you can plan accordingly.
Jackie has been sewing and quilting for many years, and is a retired home economics teacher. She is recognized in the quilting community as an expert quilter. She has taught literally hundreds of adult and teens students in quilt-making methods. Her easy going, thorough and patient teaching style makes it easy and fun to learn from her.
We will hold Quilting Camp at the Plover Boys and Girls Club. We will have lots of room to spread out and good lighting. It will be a very comfortable environment in which to make our beautiful quilts.
