QUILTING UP MEMORIES QUILT SHOW Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 10 am to 4 pm Slumberland Furniture Store, Iron Mountain, MI
If you are have been a student or customer as of this June 24, 2017, you are welcome to show your quilts in this quilt show. Your quilts are beautiful and it is really fun to see your work hanging at a quilt show. Think about which quilts you would like to show and in the early Fall, I will be contacting you to see how many quilts you'd like to share. We hope to show more than 150 quilts, we have plenty of room. The quilts you show do not need to be made in a class with me, you just need to be a current customer. This is not a judged or juried show, nor is it show to see who makes the best or most professional-looking quilts. It is just a show for my customers to show off their quilts and all of you can be proud of what you have created! It is also fun to show some antique quilts. If you have one or more, consider showing them. Quilt-show goers just want to see quilts!
So far, we have some vendors planned and a couple of gals that are my students and make crafts have agreed to have a "table" at the show with their crafts to sell. One of my students, Melissa Boyles of Dulce Nolla Gourmet Desserts will be featured in "coffee and treats" room and believe me, her desserts are yummy and are also free of many food allergens! Also featured will be some short classes, a fashion show with young people who made clothing over the summer at Stitch it Up and more plans in the works to make it a wonderful and exciting quilt show. Keep watching for more info about this event.
